I initially hired Cindy Sherwood of Sherwood Boutique Litigation in Nashville, Tennessee to represent me in a very complex “order of protection” case where a relative (my long estranged sister, Melissa Williams-Brown) had filed for a Order of Protection despite the fact she lived on the other side of the planet and I had never made any threats or even traveled to her. My sister hired Grover Collins to represent her and on the hearing date, he went first.

Mr. Collins and Melissa Williams-Brown stood before the judge for nearly 30 minutes trying to drive a (false) narrative that I was a drug addict, ex-con with a long rap sheet and mental problems. She also had several copes of Facebook posts Melissa Williams-Brown (and her husband, Glenn J. Brown) had made in the week prior to the hearing. She boasted that she would be flying first class to have me “put under the jail” and inquired to her followers what wig and dress should she wear to the hearing!?

These flippant comments got Judge Allegra Walker to halt the hearing and she dismissed all charges against me! I never had to say a word! Cindy Sherwood was my rock, my voice and so much more. Please hire her if you are facing a legal issue, she will get you thru it and keep you calm!

Cynthia Sherwood is the best argument for hiring a brilliant lawyer you could ever find. I was charged with one count of assault and one count of resisting arrest. Although I was guilty of the assault charge, the resisting arrest charge was disputed. The DA was determined to go for a full conviction on both counts but he underestimated Cynthia’s intelligence and homework.

Thanks to her preparation for the trial the charge of resisting arrest was dismissed, much to the surprise and chagrin of the prosecutor.
